Privacy in brief
RoamScene has no user accounts and does not ask for your name, email address or payment details. The core site can be used without sending personal information directly to us. We do not sell or rent personal data.
Information stored on your device
Your language, recent and last city, last travel mode, volume and mute settings, radio preference and last station for each city are saved in your browser’s local storage. This information stays on that device unless your browser syncs storage, and you can remove it by clearing site data.
Video and radio providers
When you open an experience, YouTube may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser details and the video requested through its embedded player. If you enable a radio station, your browser connects directly to that station or its streaming provider, which receives the information needed to serve the stream. Their own privacy policies apply.
Optional analytics
If analytics is enabled for this deployment, RoamScene uses Google Analytics to understand broad usage such as starting an experience, changing a city or mode, playback errors and use of radio or sharing controls. IP anonymisation is requested in our configuration. Google may still use cookies or similar identifiers under its own terms. Analytics is not required for playback.
Retention and your choices
Browser preferences remain until you clear this site’s data or your browser removes them. We keep no separate account history because there are no accounts. You can block third-party requests or analytics with browser privacy controls, although blocking YouTube or a radio host will prevent that media from playing. Third-party providers set their own retention periods.
Security and data minimisation
We limit the service to the data needed for playback, preferences and optional aggregate measurement. No internet transmission is completely secure, but keeping the product account-free and storing preferences locally reduces the personal information RoamScene handles.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page when the product, providers or legal requirements change. Material changes will be reflected here with a new last-updated date. Questions or privacy requests should identify the relevant page, service and enough detail for us to understand the request.
